Most Holy Trinity School

From Our Principal:

We at Most Holy Trinity draw all life in love to God through
Worship, Prayer, Study and Good Works

November 18

Our Gospel today is a familiar one to most of us. It is the story of Zacchaeus climbing a tree to see Jesus and Jesus being criticized for choosing to eat with “sinners.” At Mass this morning, Fr. Eddie talked with the children about how we all make mistakes and sometimes choose the wrong path. Jesus is here for us to help us grow and make better choices. Zacchaeus
wanted to change his life for the better, so he climbed a tree to see Jesus. How badly do we want to see Jesus? What tree are we ready to climb for Him?

The staff and I have been spending meeting time reading the surveys that you filled out for us. Thank you so much for taking the time to complete these surveys. They are giving us much needed information to help improve our school.  I wanted you to know that we do have a suggestion box in the office and forms to fill out for any concerns/questions that you might have. We want to hear from you. We will most likely be doing one more survey to help us complete our WASC information. We will do this survey on line and will offer computer lab time for any of you who do not have access to a computer.

Bingo was so fun last night.  Many of the teachers came and brought their friends, which really made it fun. Hopefully you can join us next week.

We would like to have our Thanksgiving boxes filled this week. Please help your child remember to bring in their items by Thursday. The families appreciate your generosity so much.

Thank you to all who have been selling See’s candies. Our sale officially ends on Thursday, so that we can be sure to have your orders before Christmas vacation.

Please keep the Save mart, Lucky, and Food Maxx receipts coming in to school! This “Apples for Students” opportunity is such a great way to get much needed items for our classrooms.

The Scrip office has been very busy with the holidays beginning. We are trying to keep the items that are most requested in stock. If you have a big order or know that you want a particular Scrip coupon, please consider pre-ordering so that we can have exactly what you need. A Scrip certificate is a perfect gift so start your Christmas shopping early at the MHT Scrip room.

Teresa Silva has joined the school and parish as our new Development Director. She spoke at the recent Parent Meeting and has many ideas to help both our school and parish. Teresa loves to hear your ideas too, so stop by and see her in the scrip office.

Some of you may have heard that we’re attempting to fill a bus load of fun-loving people and go to Reno on December 13th. We’ll be spending the night at the Silver Legacy. Since this trip is during the holiday season, we need to get our reservations set by this FRIDAY, NOV.21ST.
If you would like to go with us, please call Joe Herrera at 209-1180, to reserve your spot. Everyone is welcome.

Remember that there is no school on Friday.  All the teachers will be attending the Faith Formation Conference at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

I received an email from a friend who asked me to stop each night at 7pm and pray for peace. I thought it was such a good idea that I wanted to share it with you. Can you imagine if everyone in the world stopped for one minute a day and prayed for peace? We won’t find out unless we start so…….

Serving God’s World in love one day at a time,

Dorothy Suarez
